The goal of this task is to conduct a spike to develop smoke tests that can be used to validate changes to our code before they are merged into the main branch. The smoke tests should be focused on verifying the core functionality of our new deployment model which relies on OSSM. This will allow us to catch any major issues early in the development process.

The following key questions need to be answered while investigating the current state of testing:

      1. What is the current level of testing in place (PR jobs for odh-manifests)?
      2. Are the tests primarily focused on functionality or do they also verify or assume certain things about the infrastructure?
      3. Is it possible to run these tests locally and if so, are there any setup requirements in place?

This will help us to understand if we need to add new tests (and if so how hard is it?) or if we just make sure current ones will work with the new infrastructure setup.

Based on the analysis we will need to decide how to move forward.
