    Description

As part of the Conscious Language initiative, the OpenShift team has renamed their master nodes to control plane nodes.  (See https://github.com/openshift/openshift-docs/pull/34407/).  This may cause confusion between Service Mesh control planes and OpenShift control planes.

      See also https://github.com/openshift/openshift-docs/blob/main/contributing_to_docs/doc_guidelines.adoc#using-conscious-language

OCP 4.11 includes "Hosted Control Planes (previously called HyperShift) Technology Preview"

      TO DO:

Add a note to the architecture topic that the OS and SM control planes are unrelated.

Search through the service mesh text and change "control plane" to "Service Mesh control plane" to avoid confusion about which control plane is being referenced.

DO NOT UPDATE v1x files (No longer supported).
