QE improvement items - OSSM 2.3

The goals for 2.3 for QE are:

• Continue with ‘productizing’ Cypress UI automation
  • CI / Maintenance and UI automation new test cases creation shared with dev
  • Should be more stable / reliable so that we can retire Selenium before 2.3 GA
  • Jenkins integration QE Workflow & CPaaS / CVP build
• Additional Jenkins improvements (new / better jobs, resilience, compliances, result posting etc)
• Streamline z-stream / downstream testing
  • More automation and reduce test time / effort (e.g. new E2E in Go)
• Continue with Performance Tests development
• Investigate way(s) to adapt to Maistra code changes going into upstream Istio
  • Run upstream tests on OpenShift, mitigate potential delay in testing against OpenShift
• Other needs
  • • CNV in our upgrade test,  socialize w/ OpenShift Network Observability team, OpenShift CI
