There are 3 use-cases that needs to be validated by the automation. 

The test automation should cover both upstream and midstream versions.

• Sail Operator + SPIRE for an upstream tests 
• Sail Operator + ZTWIM for midstream tests  

1. Within the mesh setup - Service to service with x509 SVID (mTLS) issued by Spire
2. Mixed setup x509 SVID only, when service outside the mesh (no sidecar) talking to service within the mesh with x509 SVID (mTLS) issued by Spire 
3. Mixed setup x509 SVID and JWT SVID, end to end, for both x509 SVID and JWT SVID, i.e bookinfo app, all SVID issued by Spire.
