In Service Mesh 2, we included guides on deploying OpenShift Service Mesh control plane components on infrastructure nodes. This was not moved to Service Mesh 3.

We should provide documentation on how to deploy the following components onto infrastructure nodes:

• Istiod (and any other control plane components)
• Istio gateways
• Istio waypoint proxies
• Kiali

This does not need to be woven into the installation docs, and could be a separate page demonstrating how to update the default configuration to place these components on OpenShift infrastructure nodes - especially if that is easier to maintain.

This will require an engineer to provide a documentation draft.
