Create new Polarion plans and test matrix page

  • Create new tab for this release ( e.g. duplicate from previous one, or from `3.x.y Test Matrix (template)` tab )
  • Update product and ocp version
  • Fill in QE Jira tasks from this epic clone to the | RH | IBM P | IBM Z | columns (see previous test matrix as example)
  • Continuously during release updating FBC images there
• Polarion
  • You need to have admin permission in Polarion, go to plans https://polarion.engineering.redhat.com/polarion/#/project/OSSM?shortcut=favorites%2FPlans 
  • First, create the plan for OSSM version, e.g. 3.0.3 (id will be automatically generated as 3_0_2)
  • Then, create the plan for all istio versions in operator which we will be tested
    • you need to add it under parent plan, use OSSM version created in previous step
    • you need to update ID to have this format <MASTER_PLAN_ID><ISTIO_PLAN_ID>, e.g. name: v1.24.5 , id: 3_0_2_istio_v1-24-5
  • So, e.g. for release 3.0.3, where we have istio version 1.24.5 , 1.24.4 and 1.24.3 ( so from testing POV, 1.24.5 has newer containers, 1.24.4 will be used for upgrade)
    • Plan name: 3.0.3 , id: 3_0_3
    • Plan name: v1.24.5, id: 3_0_3_istio_v1-24-5, parent: 3.0.3
    • Plan name: v1.24.4, id: 3_0_3_istio_v1-24-4, parent: 3.0.3
