As part of the effort in rebase automation (MAISTRA-2717) we should write tests that cover our downstream changes (notable OpenSSL) so that we are confident that rebases don't break our functionality.

Acceptance Criteria:

• run all tests with sanitizers enabled (optionally only the OpenSSL-related tests to save resources)
