With the current status of the BGP DT01 configuration [1], BGP is only applied and tested at dataplane level. EDPM and OCP nodes are connected at L2 level.

The goal is to remove L2 connections between these nodes and use BGP to .

In order to do that, we are evaluating several options:

1. configuring static routes (using NNCP and network-attachment-definitions)
2. using frr-k8s, which is available on OCP 4.16 as Tech Preview.
