Analyzing bugreport related Octavia can be very cumbersome because it usually involves analyzing huge amounts of log data from various different Openstack services, including Neutron, Nova and Placement.

Currently developers use very simple tools like grep to filter logs. There is a project called os-log-merger, which should help with log analysis, but it seems to be unmaintained for a long time now, and often times does not work.

This epic is about finding new strategies for automating log analysis. A possible result of this work could be a new tool that can be used by developers to filter logs and maybe even visualize errors if possible.
