      Goal:

      • The bare metal component of RHOSO-19 will allow the bare metal graphical console to be available via horizon, as for virtual workloads
      • One component of this feature is a container which allows VNC connections and runs a firefox browser to connect to the bare metal node's web based console
      • This requires packaging effort which is a bit different to server based components, hence this epic to track the different packaging tasks to deliver this featureĀ

      Acceptance Criteria:

      • All required packages including firefox, x11vnc, and libvncserver are available in downstream package repositories for a RHOSO-19 build
      • A container image can be built with all the required components

      Open questions:

      • The implications of including firefox and its associated graphical stack
      • The ability to include EPEL packages x11vnc and libvncserver in the product packaging
