      Goal:

      • Update the documentation to reflect the most up-to-date information on repositories, and futureproof the docs to reduce maintenance. See comments in spike for the proposed changes.
        • 16.2 - Leave the repos hard-coded under the assumption that they do not need to be updated anymore.
        • 17.1 - Leave the repos hard-coded under the assumption that only the RHEL 9.2 version will be updated in 2027. We should make sure that we have a Jira tracker to do a one-off update when the transition happens, but I imagine there will be a RelDel task for the transition so we will have artifacts to attach to.
        • 18.0 and later - Remove specific repository names and redirect to https://access.redhat.com/support/policy/updates/openstack/platform/ as well as documenting the guidelines/considerations that Mike mentioned in his comment. Note that this might require creating a TOC in the Life Cycle page, which the PLM team would need to do (then we can deep-link or at least help customers find the right section on a long page).
          • There are several open questions to address before implementing these changes. Please see the open questions section of this Gdoc for more information.
      • Priority: Some time before the DITA migration.
        • Contact Jason Joyce or Mike Burns and Edu Alcaniz for answers
      • TODO for Mikey: Contact PLM for lifecycle page support.

      Acceptance Criteria:

      • Proposed changes are implemented in docs.
      • Review from PM or CS.
      • Docs are published.
