Summary:

• The chapter Connecting VM instances to physical networks is mostly oriented to ML2/OVS environments. It does not explain how to connect VM instances to physical networks in ML2/OVN environments. 

Goal:

• Research whether ML2/OVN VM–physnet connections are covered elsewhere in documentation. If so, evaluate plans to consolidate. If not, evaluate plans to add this content. 

Why:

• Customer filed OSPRH-19654. We don't know if the customer has OVS or OVN, but while investigating, we discovered the possible parity gap. We want to drive customers to ML2/OVN so this is worth evaluating.

Deliverables/Outcomes:

• If there is a gap, make Jira artifacts as needed to address the gap.
