Goal:
- It is expected to have front-facing user documentation on how to deploy CloudKitty using RHOSO.
- As CloudKitty will be disabled by default (due to it being very prerequisite-heavy), the new documentation will be in https://docs.redhat.com/en/documentation/red_hat_openstack_services_on_openshift/18.0/html/customizing_the_red_hat_openstack_services_on_openshift_deployment/index, in a new section "Enabling cloud rating"
- Provide any external pre-requisites that need to be deployed prior to the enablement of CloudKitty, for example
- Deployment of Loki
- Deployment of an S3 storage domain for Loki
- Creation of TLS certificates
Acceptance Criteria:
- There is a new section, called "Enabling cloud rating" on the "Customizing..." documentation.
- There is enough documentation to allow enablement of the functionality, data collection, and a basic use case to show how to export data with the CLI.
- We will not implement a full set of documentation including all available data points, multiple examples etc within the tech preview window. We simply need to make sure the user is able to setup the environment.
Reference
- We dont have to include the CloudKitty itself documentation in RHOSO documentation, but to have it for reference: https://docs.openstack.org/cloudkitty/latest/concepts/index.html
