      Issue reported:

Shift-on-Stack environment using csi driver fails to attach a volume to a worker:

FailedAttachVolume: Multi-Attach error for volume "pvc-dd58f63d-083f-401e-98b6-80cea1e682c0" Volume is already exclusively attached to one node and can't be attached to another

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

      1. Could not reproduce outside of customer environment

      Expected behavior

      • Volume is detached and re-attached to workers without issue

      Bug impact

      • Regular production operations are affected.

      Known workaround

      • OpenStack team sometimes have to perform manual operations using cli or sql queries
      • What is needed depends on the state of the volume

      Additional context

      • Due to an issue with logrotate in OSP that is already identified in this kb, we have no logs of this incident
      • See troubleshooting notes in the case attached
