Goal:

• Ability to trigger backup automatically of galera CR instantiated on the control plane.
• Backup capability should integrate with Openshift (i.e. based on CR rather than external orchestration if possible).
• Backup shall not disrupt the availability on the galera cluster when possible.
• Provide a procedure for restoring backups previously taken.

Acceptance Criteria:

• Backup design should be testable via unit tests and end-to-end deployment.
• Restore procedure should be provided and exercised automatically.

Open questions:

• Designs should be refined to be in line with work tracked in https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHOSSTRAT-1013
