Merging of https://github.com/openstack-k8s-operators/data-plane-adoption/pull/517 is blocked on FR2 docs preparations on the main branch. Prioritized changes need to go in before that pr 517 targeting FR3. Then to become cherry-picked w/o heavy merge conflicts, which pr 517 would have introduced as it is not going to be cherry-picked for FR2.

Complete merging after rebasing on top of those priority changes and solving merge conflicts (again...)
