There are different approaches on how to take on showback and chargeback:

• Build something from the ground up: we will need more skilled engineers to be able to implement this in a reasonable amount of time
• Explore CloudKitty: CloudKitty is an old software developed by a company under the openstack community umbrella. It never catched up with the community and it has been largely unmodified for 10 years. We need to evaluate if it could be used as the foundation for a new chargeback solution.
• Pau Garcia Quiles has a team working on a common chargeback solution for all Red Hat products, offered as-a-service. Integrating with them would take no effort on our side. That might be a solution.
