While using rpm-ostree directly won't be supported for production, it may be useful for dev/test and debugging.

I used rpm-ostree to install a missing package, and then rebooted into the new ostree.

The bootc.fact for ansible no longer returned true b/c "sudo bootc status --json | jq .status.type" returned nil (the type field was nil).

One option we might want to consider is setting our own OS release/version for our bootc build images per https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/bootc/os-release-and-versions/

The values we set there would be reflected in the ansible os_* facts (hopefully, I didn't test).
