      Without --skip-version-check, the workaround to upgrade mysql may fail with error message:

      MYSQL_UPGRADE='Looking for '\\''mariadb'\\'' as: mariadb
      Looking for '\\''mariadb-check'\\'' as: mariadb-check
      Empty or non existent /var/lib/mysql/mysql_upgrade_info. Assuming mysql_upgrade has to be run!
      Error: Server version (10.5.22-MariaDB) does not match with the version of
      the server (10.5.27-MariaDB) with which this program was built/distributed. You can
      use --skip-version-check to skip this check.
      FATAL ERROR: Upgrade failed'",

      I have not seen this in the main branch, only in my testprojectd of multi-cell DBs adoption
