      Currently there is very little testing in upstream gate.

      • The end-to-end tests are missing completely
      • Unittests have low coverage (~80%) and the quality is questionable too
      • Functional tests almost do not exist

      This epic is to cover the testing efforts as a whole, can be broken down to implement each testing suite separately.
