Epic Goal
- to provide an endpoint which allows clients to customize the types/amounts of data they receive from catalogs
Why is this important?
- Current catalog retrievals lack ways to optimize client communications to the minimum required for evolving access scenarios, including
- ability to retrieve package information from the catalog without the associated icon
- ability to retrieve specific attributes about package bundle versions which would allow clients to reason about relationships across them
Scenarios
- client wishes to access a list of all package metadata without accompanying icons
- client wishes to access a list of first N packages with minimal data representation for a landing page card
- client wishes to assess a list of attributes corresponding to bundle versions for a package to identify like attributes
Acceptance Criteria
- CI - MUST be running successfully with tests automated
- Release Technical Enablement - Provide necessary release enablement details and documents.
- feature available with an upstream feature gate which is mapped to a TPNU feature gate in OCP.
- origin tests around the functionality start generating signal.
- openshift proposal for the endpoint submitted; with any issues resolved that block TP.
