User Story:

• As a developer, I would like a clean repo to begin building an MVP of the Operator API and Controller.

Background:

• tflannag@redhat.com completed some initial prototyping for the operator-controller. Some of the assumptions made during the prototyping phase exceed the scope of what we plan to deliver for 4.13, so we've decided to clear the main branch of the repository's history while keeping the commit log available in a separate branch.

Acceptance Criteria:

• Existing work in the main branch is moved to a prototype branch.
• The existing history in the main branch is deleted.
