This is a temporary solution suggested by Dan Winship to address the needs of customers who are running into issues since we added the nodeip-configuration service to all deployments. Some deployments were relying on the inconsistent behavior of the kubelet node ip selection logic and the better defined logic in nodeip-configuration doesn't do what they want.

Adding a mechanism for these customers to specify which network they want used for node ips should alleviate these concerns while we work on better support for this use case.
