Research How the tools used by Operator Certification Program[1].

Introduction meeting[2] was done this week with Tony Campbell, so the Tool Stream workgroup will study the tools used by the program to improve the Partner Certification Program.

Tools shared on the meeting:

• Code for existing cert tools lives in https://github.com/redhat-openshift-ecosystem org
• contains tests for operators and containers, includes code to format output for backend API: https://github.com/redhat-openshift-ecosystem/openshift-preflight
• has the tekton pipeline: https://github.com/redhat-openshift-ecosystem/operator-pipelines
• Operator Cert Operator: https://github.com/redhat-openshift-ecosystem/operator-certification-operator

Goal:

• Understand all the stages, and tools/components used, of the Operator Certification Program
• Consolidate the summary of each one, and how it can be connected/used to Provider Certification Tool
