      USER STORY:

      • As a partner I would like to be able to run OPCT on OCP Compact Topology, so I can certify this topology in my catalog.

      VCSP Partner Program:

"Supported topologies: highly-available with 3 control-plane nodes and at least 2 worker nodes, compact with 3 nodes, or single-node"

      DESCRIPTION:

Feature to evaluate running on Compact:

      • Run OPCT mode <default>
      • Run OPCT mode upgrade

      Required:

      • Steps to run OPCT in Compact in regular mode
      • Steps to run OPCT in Compact in upgrade mode
      • Steps to run OPCT in Compact in disconnected mode
      • Steps to run OPCT in Compact in disconnected-upgrade mode

      Nice to have:

      ...

      ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA:

      • Document with steps to run OPCT in Compact cluster, describing any limitations and risks it might have
      • OpenShift CI workflow running at least one monthly periodic job validation the documentation steps (see  [1] for reference adding jobs to CI)

Closing this card as Obsolete as there is no request of this topology on OPCT tool, although the tool would be able to run on that topology when following the requirements such as dedicated node. Some limitations would be reported which isn't a blocker.

If there are partners interesting in refining the results when applying to VCSP program, please comment in the card to the teams evaluate each case.

Only updating that this is still in progress, pending debug of the current CI job.
