https://github.com/okd-project/okd/issues/2061 was filed by the community which points out the difference in the kernel version. Since OKD release payloads are built through prow and do not follow any specific cadence with the scos builds, the versions are different. Going forward, when the coreos team delivers pure centos stream bootimages, we need to find a way to synchronize these.
