Trying to use basic spring boot sample causes crash

Description of problem:

Trying to create the basic spring boot sample app causes a crash in dev build, and a console error in production build. The create button does not get enabled in both cases.

Using the sample's repository in git import flow causes also the same behaviour.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Navigate to +Add > Samples > Basic spring boot sample

Actual results:

No error should be shown and the create button should get enabled.

Expected results:

An error is shown, and the create button does not get enabled.

Additional info:

Not reproducible on Chrome, and samples page fails to load on Safari.
