Goals

• As a user, the catalog experience for creating something that is a template should be consistent with creating something that is a Builder Image, Helm Chart, etc.
• As a user after instantiating a template, I want to see exactly which resources the template created and work with the template instance and its resources. Today the user is brought to the topology and it's possible that the template instance did not result in the creation of a workload.
• When creating a template in the Console, users should be brought to the topology view. The Template Instance should be represented as a group in Topology.
• If there are errors in creation/deployment of the Template, determine how to expose them to the user?

Acceptance Criteria

When creating a template from the catalog

• this needs to be beefed up

When creating a template, updates need to be made to Topology

• A template instance grouping is created
• All workloads related to the template instance should be part of the group
• it should support selection of the template instance along with side bar panel with the standard resource details and navigation to the template instance details page
• Available actions for the Template Instance should be available on the topology context menus and the actions dropdown in the side bar panel.
• Do display options in topology need to be updated?
