Goals (aka. expected user outcomes)

Validate that OpenShift can be deployed on Oracle Database Appliance using the Assisted Installer for a connected experience and Agent-Based Installer for a disconnected experience.

There is no underlying platform integration for this stage between OpenShift and Oracle Database Appliance, using the External platform approach with no additional manifests injection

Background

Oracle has a specific interest in adding support to this infrastructure offering to satisfy its customers' demand for running OpenShift on this platform.

Documentation Considerations

No new documentation would be required to support this platform, but just a new section for OpenShift on Oracle Database Appliance that reuses the Assisted Installer and Agent-Based installation documentation to deploy OpenShift on any platform.

Once Oracle provides their own platform-specific instructions in their documentation pages, we will link our documentation to that reference.
