Feature Overview (aka. Goal Summary)
Enable OpenShift Lightspeed (OLS) to integrate customer-hosted OpenShift knowledge bases—such as Confluence, SharePoint, or Git repositories—by pointing OLS to internal web URLs. This feature allows OLS to ingest and index customer-specific OpenShift documentation hosted in private environments. It enhances OLS responses by grounding answers in the customer’s own documentation, increasing contextual relevance, accuracy, and trust.
Goals (aka. Expected User Outcomes)
- ✅ Custom Knowledge Integration
Customers can provide URLs of internal documentation (e.g., Confluence spaces, SharePoint pages, Git markdown files) that contain OpenShift-specific knowledge.
- ✅ Secure and Configurable Access
OLS supports authenticated access to these sources using enterprise SSO or token-based mechanisms, ensuring secure ingestion of private content.
- ✅ Dynamic Ingestion and Updates
OLS periodically syncs or crawls these internal sources to stay updated with new or modified content.
- ✅ Grounded Answers from Customer Docs
When users ask OLS about OpenShift topics, the assistant leverages both Red Hat documentation and customer-provided documentation to generate accurate, contextual responses.
- ✅ Search Transparency and Debugging
OLS displays the source(s) URL in the answer
