Feature Overview (aka. Goal Summary)
The goal of this feature is to enhance the OpenShift Descheduler Operator by introducing a new profile that balances node utilization based on real-time resource consumption, specifically CPU, memory, and, if feasible, network traffic. This feature is particularly aimed at OpenShift Virtualization users who require a DRS-like (Distributed Resource Scheduler) functionality to automatically manage and balance resource usage across nodes. By implementing this profile, the need for manual intervention in redistributing workloads is minimized, leading to more efficient resource utilization, improved performance, and a more consistent operational experience in virtualized environments.
Goal
