Outcome Overview
Once all Features and/or Initiatives in this Outcome are complete, what tangible, incremental, and (ideally) measurable movement will be made toward the company's Strategic Goal(s)?
OCP Virt adoption in traditional Data Center customers is limited by our lack of support for SAN storage infrastructure. This limits our growth and adaption of OpenShift Virt, esp. in the light of the current VMWare situation.
We can achieve this by adding a new backend into the the existing LVMS storage. This new backend is able to utilise existing multi-path SAN infrastructure to dynamically expose this to OCP Virt, including VM live migration capabilities (RWX storage).
Success Criteria
What is the success criteria for this strategic outcome? Avoid listing Features or Initiatives and instead describe "what must be true" for the outcome to be considered delivered.
DataCenter customer using OCP Virt on existing SAN infrastructure must be happy.
Expected Results (what, how, when)
unblock sales of OCP Virt for DataCenter customers
increase OCP Virt usage by XXX% by end of 2025
Post Completion Review – Actual Results
After completing the work (as determined by the "when" in Expected Results above), list the actual results observed / measured during Post Completion review(s).
