      Outcome Overview

Edge customers can use MicroShift with RHEL image mode (Bifrost).

      Success Criteria

Customers can use Red Hat provided MicroShift base images to directly use (bootc) MicroShift or use as base layer to build their own custom images, including their workload in a fully self contained and installable image.

Building those images in integrated into all cluster lifecycle mmgt tools (AAP, ACM, FligthCTL).

      Expected Results (what, how, when)

Simplify using MicroShift in image mode. Currently, it takes 40+ steps to setup a build pipeline and create custom images, and requires custom repositories for the commits. That should reduce drastically to ideally <5 steps and switch to standard oci container registries.

Post Completion Review – Actual Results

After completing the work (as determined by the "when" in Expected Results above), list the actual results observed / measured during Post Completion review(s).
