Feature Overview
Support NC-SI in bare metal, which is available in Dell, HPE, Intel, Lenovo, Nvidia and other vendors and desired by users of OpenShift on bare metal.
Users share the same NIC thanks to NC-SI for the BMC and the server. In this configuration, when the nodes are powered off by Metal3, either in RHACM, IPI or any cluster using the BareMetalHost with BMC, the servers are unusable as the BMC will be shut down too.
In general NC-SI is becoming more common and Metal3 must be able to work with this configuration.
