Outcome Overview
With the integration of this feature, OpenShift's HyperShift environment will be adapted to enable x86 control plane to effectively operate with both IBM Power and IBM Z compute nodes. This represents an important step in infrastructure versatility. It offers clients customized solutions that cater to diverse and specific infrastructure requirements.
Success Criteria
The strategic outcome will be considered successful when:
- The x86 control plane is seamlessly integrated with both IBM Power and IBM Z compute nodes.
- Customer feedback from those utilizing this hybrid architecture is positive, there is demand for this setup.
- The feature does not negatively affect other OpenShift/HCP products and versions, ensuring interoperability within the OpenShift ecosystem.
- Documentation is available on docs.openshift.com, assisting users in implementing and managing this hybrid setup.
