      Feature Overview

Ability to configure physical host networking with bonding, VLANs and static IPs.
Ability to deploy the physical hosts without requiring an external DHCP server.

      Goals

When installing new clusters we want to be able to configure the hosts networking with the usual configurations in bare metal nodes, which include:

      • Bonds/LACP/Nic Teaming
      • VLANs
      • Static IP

This needs to be possible in the installer-provisioned infrastructure (IPI) workflow.

      Requirements

      • The IPI installer permits configuring advanced networking in all the cluster nodes
      • The configuration interface needs to be declarative
