      Feature Overview

      Add support for deploying OpenShift to IBM Public Cloud

      Goals

      Enable customers to deploy OpenShift 4 to IBM Public Cloud.

      Requirements

      • Installation support for performing an installer-provisioned infrastructure deployment to an IBM Public Cloud environment
      • Installation support for performing an user-provisioned infrastructure deployment to an IBM Public Cloud environment
      • IBM Public Cloud service integration for DNS, LB, Storage, and automated VM provisioning
      • Working CI environment for GA support

      (Optional) Use Cases

      • As an administrator, I would like to deploy OpenShift 4 clusters to an IBM Public Cloud environment leveraging cloud based networking, storage, and compute resources.

      • What concepts do customers need to understand to be successful in [action]? Following the documented minimum requirements and installation procedure.
      • How do we expect customers will use the feature? For what purpose(s)? Installing OpenShift on an IBM Public Cloud environment
      • What reference material might a customer want/need to complete [action]? How to install and configure the platform for IBM Public Cloud
      • Is there source material that can be used as reference for the Technical Writer in writing the content? Yes, upstream docs from engineering team
