Feature Overview

Installer sustainability and maintenance.

Goals

• Ensure Terraform and Terraform provider code embedded in the installer is the latest
• Reduce the number of times the development has to triage the issue behind bootstrap failures

• Burn down installer technical debt to improve customer usability

Documentation Considerations

Questions to be addressed:

• What educational or reference material (docs) is required to support this product feature? For users/admins? Other functions (security officers, etc)? Focused on product owner.
• Does this feature have doc impact?  Limited. Minimal changes for adding some new options to install-config.

• What concepts do customers need to understand to be successful in [action]? Following the documented minimum requirements and installation procedure.
• How do we expect customers will use the feature? For what purpose(s)? Telemetry metrics is not customer focused. Otherwise, some additional changes to the list of supported install-config options.
• What reference material might a customer want/need to complete [action]?
• Is there source material that can be used as reference for the Technical Writer in writing the content? Engineering docs.
