Epic Goal
- The goal of this epic is to have CI jobs in place for openshift/topolvm repository. This is to have TopoLVM rebases well-tested and security-checked before they are incorporated into LVMS.
Why is this important?
- To improve the overall rebase experience of openshift/topolvm
- To create a more controlled and structured environment for the rebases
Scenarios
- An unexpected issue arises from a TopoLVM rebase and it is realized only after the rebase is complete.
- An unexpected security vulnarability is introduced within LVMS, as we currently do not have a Snyk pipeline running on this repo.
Acceptance Criteria
- Use Openshift CI Bundle for testing PR builds of LVM operator
- Replace TopoLVM image with CI Operator Pipeline Image
- Create Presubmit Jobs for Image build and Bundle
- Create Custom Dockerfile for Image building Job that overrides upstream one
- Snyk running on TopoLVM Image
- CI - MUST be running successfully
Dependencies (internal and external)
- This depends on https://issues.redhat.com/browse/OCPEDGE-919, as we might not need to maintain openshift/topolvm anymore in case we can integrate LVMS into MicroShift.
