Taken from a RFE request, first steps with this would be to do an evaluation to see if this is the right solution/architecture.

      1. Proposed title of this feature request
Red Hat to officially provide support for proactive node scaling operator .

      2. What is the nature and description of the request?
Official support for the community proactive node scaling operator.

      3. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)

They have enabled machine autoscaling in their cluster currently, and the logic for creating new machine/node is when there are new pods that can't be provision due to not enough resource, OpenShift will start creating new machine/node for it.

However, they found this autoscaling mechanism too slow for responding to their resource usage demand. Since pods autoscaler will be use for some application that need to horizontal scale out quickly when a sudden demand occur, if the pod autoscaler try to create a lot of pods but we need to wait for the node to be ready before we can have new working pods to serve the increased demand.

To overcome this proactive node scaling operator is used, however it is a community operator.

Due to supportability issue of the community proactive node scaling operator. They are requesting for a supported operator.
