Epic Goal
- Automated attach and detach of load balancers for internal and external load balancers for control plane machines on AWS, Azure, GCP and other relevant platforms
- Introduce a concept of internal/external load balancers to upstream CAPI (possibly via Runtime SDK)
Why is this important?
- This will enable OCP to adopt Cluster API for managing control plane Machines
- In MAPI, we attach control plane machines to both internal and external load balancers on platforms that support this toplogy
- We must continue to support this topology to allow Control Plane Machine Set to continue working with CAPI
