Description of problem:
Eviction Manager is repeatedly attempting to reclaim ephemeral-storage and evicting applications. It is claiming that it wants to free "9223372036854775807 bytes" when the node only has "125293548Ki" in the first place. The value "9223372036854775807" is conspicuously the same value as the maximum 64-bit signed integer, suggesting that it is an error/invalid value that is being treated as a legitimate result.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
OpenShift 4.16.43 Kubernetes v1.29.14+29b5494
How reproducible:
In the customer's environment, this behaviour reoccurs on one specific node out of a total of 303 nodes
Steps to Reproduce:
unknown
Actual results:
Workloads on the node are periodically
Expected results:
Workloads are only evicted when ephemeral-storage watermarks are met
