Description of problem:
Azure has sent notice (below) that they are discontinuing GPv1 storage. We need to check to ensure none of our supported versions are affected. Notice from Azure:
Migrate Azure general-purpose v1 (GPv1) storage accounts to general-purpose v2 (GPv2) before 13 October 2026
You're receiving this notification because you're associated with one or more Azure subscriptions that use GPv1 storage.
On 13 October 2026, we'll retire Azure GPv1 storage. To avoid disruptions, migrate your GPv1 storage accounts to GPv2 before that date. From now until 13 October 2026, you can continue to use GPv1 storage without disruption.
GPv2 storage offers additional benefits, including access to tier savings and improved performance, scalability, security, and compliance. Since GPv2 has higher transaction costs than GPv1, we recommend reviewing your GPv1 workflows before migrating to ensure you've optimized your transaction costs.
Required action
To avoid service disruptions, migrate your GPv1 accounts to GPv2 by 13 October 2026. To view your impacted resources in the Azure portal, go to the Storage center and look for Kind: Storage. To view your impacted resources, run this query.
Automatic migration notice
After 13 October 2026, all existing GPv1 accounts will be automatically migrated over to a GPv2 account, which may result in higher billing costs. Your decision not to migrate an existing GPv1 account will be construed as consent for Microsoft to migrate the account on your behalf.
