      This is a clone of issue OCPBUGS-55461. The following is the description of the original issue:

      Already reverted in https://github.com/openshift/machine-api-operator/pull/1359 but I need a bug to triage the failures out.

      I think this caused cascading failures throughout UDN and OLM possibly as well.
