Description of problem:
Trying to introspect a set of hosts with manual iso booting, created nmstateconfig and bmh description with proper bootMACaddress as in spec:
automatedCleaningMode: disabled bmc: address: idrac-virtualmedia://10.242.14.161/redfish/v1/Systems/System.Embedded.1 credentialsName: rho-szla-01-worker-01-20900all disableCertificateVerification: true customDeploy: method: start_assisted_install bootMACAddress: 94:6D:AE:DB:02:F4 online: true externallyProvisioned: true
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
OCP 4.16.17 ACM 2.11.3
How reproducible:
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create NMStateConfig and BMC configuration for baremetal node 2. Boot physical node with discovery ISO 3. Verify node network is configured correctly and ironic-agent starts introspection 4. Wait for node to become Available on Node Inventory
Actual results:
Node never becomes available on Host inventory. Logs on metal3 pod return 404 errors like "GET /v1/lookup?addresses=94%3A6d%3Aae%3Adb%3A02%3Af4%2C94%3A6d%3Aae%3Adb%3A02%3Af5%2C94%3A6d%3Aae%3Adb%3A02%3Af4%2C94%3A6d%3Aae%3Adb%3A02%3Af4%2Cc4%3Acb%3Ae1%3Ab2%3Ae5%3A63%2Cb8%3A3f%3Ad2%3Acf%3A78%3Ad7%2Cc4%3Acb%3Ae1%3Ab2%3Ae5%3A62%2C94%3A6d%3Aae%3Adb%3A02%3Af4&node_uuid=a2c0e49c-cc87-45e8-8c99-338473f54e7b HTTP/1.1" 404 120 "-" "python-requests/2.25.1"
Expected results:
Node is available on host inventory and can be used to create a cluster
Additional info:
Other nodes on the same ACM cluster, in a different InfraEnv but with a similar network configuration were added correctly. Discussion already tracked in https://redhat-internal.slack.com/archives/CFP6ST0A3/p1729693772163919
