This is an LVMS Bug Report:

Please create & attach a must-gather as indicated by this Guide to collect LVMS relevant data from the Cluster (linked to the latest version, use older versions of the documentation for older OCP releases as applicable

Please make sure that you describe your storage configuration in detail. List all devices that you plan to work with for LVMS as well as any relevant machine configuration data to make it easier for an engineer to help out.

      Description of problem:

When working with LVMS for the first time, I was confused by the purpose of deviceClasses.fsType. I assumed it worked like deviceClasses.deviceSelector, where it was asking for some selection criteria related to the acceptable file systems for the devices being collected by LVMS. The documentation just says, "Set this field to ext4 or xfs. By default, this field is set to xfs.".

I believe this could be improve to clarify that this field is responsible for setting the default filesystem used when you make a PVC with volumeMode: Filesystem.
