Steps to Reproduce:

    1.Open the docs for the External DNS Operator
    2.There are no explanations of how to create External DNS records other than using the automated method for Routes

Actual results:

    No docs

Expected results:

    Documentation explaining which resource types can have external DNS annotations added and how those annotations will create DNS records.

Additional info:

    The customer I am working with is interested in creating arbitrary DNS records which are not associated with a Route or a Service. Can annotations be applied to VirtualMachine, VirtualMachineInstance, and/or Pod resources?
