      Description of problem:

      The changes in https://github.com/openshift/origin/pull/27539/files related to https://issues.redhat.com/browse/OCPBUGS-3508 addresses expensive permafailing (https://testgrid.k8s.io/redhat-openshift-ocp-release-4.12-informing#periodic-ci-openshift-release-master-nightly-4.12-e2e-metal-ipi-sdn-serial-ipv4) jobs in 4.12.

      many failures due to "[sig-arch] events should not repeat pathologically" test
