Due to a fixed default 128KiB Chunk Size for Thin Pools, thin-provisioned deviceClasses in LVMCluster can have at most 32TiB Storage. This has been alleviated by introudcing a new Chunk Size Policy that can be used to customize the chunk size based on a static value or the Node that lvm2 is running on.

This is an LVMS Bug Report:

Please create & attach a must-gather as indicated by this Guide to collect LVMS relevant data from the Cluster (linked to the latest version, use older versions of the documentation for older OCP releases as applicable

Please make sure that you describe your storage configuration in detail. List all devices that you plan to work with for LVMS as well as any relevant machine configuration data to make it easier for an engineer to help out.

      Description of problem:

The Chunk Size variable in LVMS for the thin pool creation is static at 128KiB and needs to be defaulted to allow for higher storage values

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

       All Versions with 4.12

      Steps to Reproduce:

       1. Create a LVMCluster with devices totalling over 32TiB

      Actual results:

          Creation fails

      Expected results:

          Creation succeeds
