Description of problem:
- As per the document below, we can partition the disk during installation but it does not mention if partitioning of multiple disks are supported. https://docs.openshift.com/container-platform/4.14/installing/installing_with_agent_based_installer/installing-with-agent-based-installer.html#installing-ocp-agent-disk-partition_installing-with-agent-based-installer Below is the statement : OpenShift Container Platform supports the addition of a single partition to attach storage to either the /var directory or a subdirectory of /var. - As per below statement by Jonatha Lebon in "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/OCPBUGS-27304", multiple partitions are supported, whether on the primary disk (after the root partition) or secondary disks. The wording in https://docs.openshift.com/container-platform/4.14/installing/installing_bare_metal/installing-bare-metal.html#installation-user-infra-machines-advanced_vardisk_installing-bare-metal of "a single partition" is weird and should probably be updated. - We had a case 03656678 raised where the customer wanted to partition multiple disks and we raised some threads as well where we found this (partitioning of multiple disks) is not supported. https://redhat-internal.slack.com/archives/C02SPBZ4GPR/p1701343845640819 https://redhat-internal.slack.com/archives/C999USB0D/p1705525548256299 - As customer is able to partition multiple disks and Jonatha Lebon confirmed it in "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/OCPBUGS-27304", I have raised this JIRA to get the document updated stating multiple disk partitioning is supported and also, provide detail description how to partition multiple disks.
